B&W and color porject

Artist Reflection

The strongest technical aspect of my work is the snapshot and desaturation of the image while using the history brush to bring back color using a quick selection to make sure I don't go outside of what i wanted to point color. The technical aspect which could be improved is my section using the quick selection tool because its not necessarily bad but it could be a little bit neater.

The easy part of this activity was being able to work with one layer rather than having to use multiple layers and label all of them. The difficult part was painting and making sure I didn't paint where I didn't want to because once I painted there was no way to erase just part of it, I had to delete the whole paint stroke.

I demonstrated the objective of this activity by creating a snapshot of an image, then desaturating it and painting  color back with the history brush tool. If I could do this activity again I would try to use an image that would work better and was intended from the beginning to be transformed into a selective color image.

Assignment 1 photoshop

Artist Reflection

The strongest technical piece of my work is the flower petals which I used a special brush to create swirly lines and texture in multiple layers and opacity and flow levels. What I could improve on the butterflies in the background by working with different opacities, colors, and also work on improving my skills with the scattering effect of a brush.

This art project was pretty easy for me individually since I have a background in photoshop and creating the layers and chaining the opacity of different layers and working with most of the features I have done before. What was challenging at first but was easy to pickup was working with the different types of brushes and chaining the settings to get the look that I intended.

I demonstrated the objective of this activity by creating different layers and editing the image with multiple different types of paint brushes to create a desired effect. If I could do this art activity again I would probably use an image from my professional camera rather than using an image I took with my iPhone because it would allow me to have more detail to work with allowing my to create a more detailed project.
